Hawkesbury Agricultural College Journals
The Old Boys' Union of the Hawkesbury Agricultural College was founded early in 1898 at the instigation of a group of officers and students then at the College. It was decided..... "that a College Magazine should be published, to be the means of recording the events of our social life, at the same time to contain such articles as might prove of value to subscribers" (Vol.1, No.1, 1898).
The Journal has undergone several name changes including Hawkesbury Agricultural Magazine, Hawkesbury Agricultural College Journal, University of Western Sydney Hawkesbury Journal (for one edition), and Journal.
It was originally published as the official organ of the Hawkesbury Agricultural College Old Boys' Union until May 1972 when it became a monthly journal printed in conjunction with the newly-established College Union.
The Journals vary but can include articles on farming techniques, histories of the College, whereabouts of Old Boys, letters to the College, Rolls of Honour, sporting results and advertisements.
