Record NumberP824Date qualifiern.d.NotesThe sill brickwork depicted is that still evident on A & F Blocks. The longer corner sill bricks show this is a single window. Note also the vertical brick edging to the left of the individual - this is square (no chamfered moulding as is the case on ground floor windows on the Fairy Circle side of A & F Blocks). The brick surrounding the window frame is darker than the wall bricks.
This window is still extant and is the window for what was A Block Room 13 (Potts Block, Western Wing 1906). It is the ground floor window closest to the elevator (lift) on the western side of what is now R5 - facing R6 (Memorial Library). While the outer timber frame has been retained, the window itself is now different. The coloured veins in the lighter bricks to the left of the individuals head match those today. There is still evidence of the white paint immediately left of the individuals head (eight brick courses above the sill). The subject, assuming he is a student & given the room location, is probably a senior student and possibly studying Food Technology or Dairying, has his left hand bandaged (behind his right elbow). The plant is Ficus pumila, since removed.CampusRichmond (Hawkesbury)CategoryImagesFormatPhotographic – PrintsAspectLandscapeKeywordswindowsstudentsTownRichmondPostcode2753StateNSWCountryAustraliaGeospatial data[1] TaxonomyArchives | Images | PhotographsArchive typeState ArchiveContributorArchives
