At a special ceremony ‘Back to College’ Day 1967 the new gymnasium building was officially opened and WA Chaffey, Minister for Agriculture, officially named the swimming pool - HR Richardson Pool - to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the College (Challenge & Change, p.418).
