McGillivray, before leaving to compete in the stock-judging competitions at the British Royal Agricultural Society's Show at York. The three students were Ken Henry, Jack Martin, and Alan Turner.

AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR FARMERS FOR ENGLISH CATTLE-JUDGING COMPETITION
Before leaving in May, 1948, for England, to compete in the stock-judging competitions at the British Royal Agricultural Society's Show at York, three young Australian farmers took an intensive course in cattle-judging at Hawkesbury Agricultural College, New South Wales. The course was conducted by Mr. George McGillivray, Chielf of the Dairying Division of the New South Wales Department of Agriculture. Mr. McGillivray worked with them on the Jersey and Friesian herds at the College and on Ayrshire, English Shorthorn and Guernsey herds on dairy farms in the district. The lads may also visit Denmark and Sweden.
